What does ‘zero waste’ actually mean?

Zero waste focuses on waste prevention, encouraging reuse, repurposing, and recycling products. It aims to stop rubbish from reaching landfills, incinerators, or the ocean.
What kind of container can I use?

You can use any secure container e.g. jars, bottles, tubs, boxes, bags. Feel free to bring any clean container suitable for the products you want to purchase. We also provide small brown paper bags and clean jars if you don’t have your own.
What kind of products can I buy?

We offer pay-by-weight dry foodstuffs such as pulses, flours, grains, nuts and seeds, coffee, rice, pasta. We also offer a wide range of cleaning products and bath and body products too. See more about what we offer here.
Is there parking available?

Yes! We’re located on central Front Street in Framwellgate Moor, Durham, which offers a wide variety of parking options, including spaces directly outside the shop.
Are you accessible by public transport?

Yes! Our convenient location means that there are bus stops on direct routes to both Durham city and Newcastle, just a minute’s walk from the shop.
